'Handscapes' - Jewellery for the Hand

‘Handscapes’ is a collection of contemporary hand adornments inspired by the ‘lay of the land’. After travelling across the beautiful coastland of Nova-Scotia I became motivated by the landscapes of rock moraine left behind from a glacier. Focussing on the way the rocks interrupted the surface of the land and the horizon led to an exploration of what was underneath; the earths many layers, caves and treasures.

The hand is my favourite part of the body to work with, It is a landscape all on its own. The hand has many different angles and forms, mountains and valleys, so the ways of adorning it are endless!
